TipTunes (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use our website and services (the “Service”).

1. Information We Collect

When you register or use TipTunes, we may collect the following information:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Venmo handle

  • Other social media handles (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok)

In addition, if you choose to subscribe to our monthly plan, we collect billing-related information such as your payment method and subscription details. All payments are processed securely through our third-party payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full payment card information on our servers.  

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Provide and personalize your experience on TipTunes

  • Facilitate fan requests and tipping

  • Communicate with you about your account and updates

  • Promote your profile (e.g., sharing your song list, promoting your gigs)

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

  • With fans who visit your TipTunes profile (e.g., your name and social handles may be visible to them)

  • With service providers who assist in operating the platform (under confidentiality agreements)

  • When required by law, such as in response to a subpoena or legal request

4. Payments and Subscriptions

Payments and tips are processed through third-party platforms such as Venmo. TipTunes does not store or process your financial information. Please refer to Venmo’s privacy policy for information about how they handle your data.

We offer a monthly subscription service, which is billed through Stripe, a third-party payment processor. When you subscribe, you may be asked to provide payment information such as your name, billing address, and credit card details. This information is sent directly to Stripe and is subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.

We do not store or have access to your full payment information. We only retain limited details, such as your subscription status, renewal dates, and the last four digits of your card (if needed for support or invoicing).

By subscribing, you authorize TipTunes to automatically charge your selected payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.

5. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data.

6. Your Choices and Rights

You may:

  • Access or update your profile information at any time

  • Contact us to delete your account and associated data

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your TipTunes account or by contacting us. Upon cancellation, you will retain access through the end of your current billing cycle. Refunds are not issued for partial months unless required by law.  

7. Children’s Privacy

TipTunes is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the “Effective Date” above and/or through email or app notification.
